Pale yellow with good bubbles, slightly floral aroma. Good fizz in the mouth and not-too-sharp acidity; pleasantly dry with a slight taste of apple and background metallic taste. A very good cava, perfect for a weekend tipple. There’s no doubt that Codorniu make great cava but their efforts at increasing the price point may be a bit over-ambitious. Currently half price at £5.99, which is good value but probably worth spending the money on something else before paying the regular price of £11.99.
