Very dark, inky purple wine. Farmyard aromas with blackcurrant and raisin. Full bodied with firm tannin. Good length and finish; slightly tight flavours of blackberry and damson over a pungent background of cow-pats. A superbly enjoyable wine, however quite sure it would have benefited from a few more years in bottle.
