France – Red – 2007
Region: Languedoc – Minervois
Producer: Francois Lurton
Clear, light red colour. Somewhat smoky, jammy aromas of red fruit. Medium-bodied. Perhaps it is a triumph to produce a Pinot Noir this good in this area but I’d prefer to be drinking a Chilean one for the same price. This has similar flavours but is somewhat stilted and baked tasting. Won’t be buying another.
